What to Expect?

The rapid HIV Test is a simple finger stick, which takes about 15 minutes to get your results. Everything is confidential, but we do ask you to sign a short consent form.

If you test NEGATIVE: your counselor will answer any questions you may have about HIV prevention, safe behavior and supply you with additional resources (condoms, literature, etc.).

If you test POSITIVE:
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
BGOC is here to support and guide you on how YOU can get the help you need. We will walk you through the steps of completing you confirmation test as well as schedule you to meet with a medical professional to talk about the steps forward. We will continue to work with you and help connect you to other services you may need.
